I Need YOUR Help!!!
Hi, it’s Julia here. I just wanted to say a big THANKS to everyone who has continued to stay on this blog. You guys are AWESOME and soooooo loyal!!!! Now, I don’t do this often but I have a favor to ask of ALL OF YOU. I know this is our first post in, what, over a year maybe? But I’m breaking that chain with this post. 🙂 Were any of you ever on the American Girl Club maybe 4 or 5 years ago? Well when they closed that club, it broke my heart. I had made so many friends just to lose them. If any of you were there when that happened, you know exactly how I feel. (Or maybe not XD) What I feel even worse about is that my mom got on the club and talked to 2 of the girls’ moms. We got their emails and we kept in touch… for some time. We lost touch after that and now I feel really bad. All I’m saying is if that club is back, MAYBE there’s a chance they’ll join again and we’ll find each other. You never know. One girl on there was my “twin” and we looked exactly alike and we talked a lot. Now it makes me feel really guilty that I lost touch with her.
OK, now to the point! Maybe if we get enough people rounded up here, we can convince American Girl to put a club back up on their website. I don’t know about you, but I would pay anything to get back on there and talk to some girls. So, if you sign below, and we get enough people, I can send this to American Girl and see what they say. Hi everyone, we have a BIG announcement to make…
We (me and Julia)Â have given what we are about to tell you a lot of thought. We would like you to accept our decision, and realize why we are doing this.
We are going to move on from this American girl blog, meaning that we are no longer going to post things on it and update you on the going- on’s at American girl. This is for a number of reasons, some of which not all of you know about just yet. For example, nobody is a kid forever, we are all growing up. Part of growing up means that things you used to have fun with aren’t your favorite anymore. That is only one of the reasons we are going to “quit” this blog. Don’t worry though, we aren’t going to delete this blog, so you can still look at our archives!
Although we are leaving this blog, we have started a new blog, it is called Books for Worms. If you love to read, or even if you just like it, you can visit our blog. Books for Worms has book reviews for anyone who comes to take a look. We would immensely appreciate it if you visit our site, and recommend it to your friends if you think it is good.

Rebecca, The New Doll
Rebecca will be the next historical doll after Samantha and Nellie’s retirement. She is said to come out in late May or early June of this year. So far, there are no pictures of her, but Amazon already has the mini doll of her up (without a picture). What is known about Rebecca are her books, which are listed below:

As you can see, American Girl is using different titles for Rebecca’s books, instead of Meet Rebecca, Rebecca Learns a Lesson, etc. All of her books are written by Jacqueline Dembar Greene. I’ll keep you posted with more news of Rebecca.
The Runaway Friend: A Kirsten Mystery
As all of you probably know three new American girl mysteries came out in March. I have read The Runaway Friend, and want to give my opinions on it.
The plot of the book is as follows,
Kirsten Larson has just moved to Minnesota and is making friends. Her family is just getting settled. It is right before the harvest and Kirsten’s father and uncle have hired Erik Sandahl to help bring the wheat in. Suddenly Erik dissapears… This is not good for two reasons. One Erik owes Uncle Olav (Kirsten’s uncle) money, and two he has to help with the harvest before it rains and all the wheat is ruined.
In my opinion this book had a great plot and is fun to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries or is fond of Kirsten.

Introducing Chrissa, Gwen, and Sonali!
Well, first off, Happy New Year to everyone! The new year means a new doll, but this time there are three. We will miss Mia, but she will always be remembered by all. Here are Chrissa and her friends, Sonali and Gwen!
Here is Chrissa, like the pictures I showed you before.
Here is Chrissa’s sundress. It comes with sandals and hair clips.
This is Chrissa’s swimsuit and gear. It comes with a pair of goggles, a matching swim cap, spirit stickers, a kickboard, and a towel.
This is Chrissa’s warm-up set. It comes with a hooded jacket, a tank top, white shorts, slip on sandals, a visor, and a pretend mini IM-Me.
These are Chrissa’s pajamas. It comes with a pair of slippers.
Now here are Chrissa’s friends, Sonali and Gwen:
This is Sonali, one of the bullies at first, but then becomes a great friend of Chrissa’s.
This is Gwen, a shy, quiet girl.
Chrissa’s furniture:
Here is Chrissa’s party table. It includes a festive picnic table with lanterns and pinwheels. You can choose to include her party treats with the table.
This is Chrissa’s craft studio. The set includes:
A bowl that her father made
3 skeins of yarn and 2 knitting needles
A sketch book
A sewing machine that turns on if you push the button
5 thread spools
A sewing table
A pin cushion
A tape measure
A caddy that holds scissors and two pencils
And last but not least, Chrissa’s pet llama, Starburst.

Mia and Bravo, Mia!
I recently finished reading the Mia books. I know it is a little late but here is my review.
Mia: The plot for Mia’s first book is as follows. Mia is pressured by her brothers to stop figure skating and start hockey again.They say she has the skills to play hockey. Mia doesn’t want to play hockey and tells that to her brothers over and over again. When a new coach arrives to teach figure skating Mia is pushed harder than ever. Her new coach wants her to be in the winter show, but can Mia do it?
This book introduces Mia as a skater and important part of her family. If you love Mia then I reccomend this book to you. I had a wonderful time reading it.
Bravo, Mia!: After doing a spectacular job in the winter show Mia’s coach wants her to go to the regionals. Mia trains hard, but when her brothers hockey life interferes will Mia still be able to go? In this book the journey of Mia’s life go further still. With many setbacks and a family crisis will Mia hold on to her dream?
In my opinion this book is just as good as the first one if not better. The element of suspense is taking place as Mia struggles through her life. If you enjoyed the first book then you will love the second.

Chrissa Has TWO Best Friends

Chrissa, GOTY 2009, was rumored to have two best friends. Now, sources are saying that this rumor is true. Chrissa will have two best friends: Gwen and Sonali. Gwen is the blonde haired doll, Sonali the dark haired doll. This will be the first doll that has two best friends, and the first GOTY that has a best friend doll.
Some of Chrissa's outfits include swim gear, a sundress, and a warmup set
Also, Chrissa’s outfits were shown in an AG catalog. Is it me, or does her hair look darker in the pictures? It’s surprising that American Girl would show things they haven’t released yet for all of the world to see. Maybe they want people to get excited and want to buy Chrissa’s new things. Who knows?

Chrissa, Girl of 2009
Today, as I went onto American Girl Collecting, I noticed that the blogger had a picture of Chrissa up! She is scheduled to come out on January 6th, 2009. Below is the idea of her books, and the struggles she’s going through.
Chrissa and her family have just moved to a new town in the middle of the school year. On the first day of school, she is seated next to three girls. All these girls do is tease her and play tricks on her. They bully her in class, on the bus, online, and at swim club. When the biggest bully becomes her swimming rival, she has to find a way to stick up for herself. Can she do it?

This means that they are both being retired!!!!!!!!!!!
